Graduation Party Ideas - Bigfork High School Graduation - Bigfork, Montana

June means graduation time for students across the United States from Kindergarten, Sixth Grade, Junior High, High School, and College grduates.

Bigfork High School’s graduation ceremony will be held at 11 am on Saturday, June 4th, 2011.

For parents, professors, and teachers it means trying to come up with some fun graduation party ideas to keep graduates entertained and the center of attention for this monumental occasion in their lives.

Graduation Party ideas…….Dare to be different! Be imaginative!

If your graduate is a pizza freak, have the graduation party at their favorite pizza place – Riley’s Pub and Sports Bar. Mix it up by serving some unique gourmet pizzas in addition to the standard favorites, cheese and pepperoni.

If your graduate loves desserts, have a dessert party in Riley’s or Terra Steakhouse. Feature graduation cupcakes with frosting/decorates in the graduates school colors. Candy bars with personalized wrappers to give out to your guests. Smores at the Lodge fire pit. Baskets of marshmallows, chocolate bars and graham crackers with plenty of roasting sticks. Root Beer floats a huge hit at our friend’s party. Petit Fors, assorted cookies, and mini cheesecakes in a variety of flavors served with different toppings. Add a cotton candy machine, slushie machine or popcorn machine fora festive flair.

A weekend Brunch is a great idea for a graduation party.

You'll get a great turn out and your guests will be hungry. A selection of chilled Fruit Juices, Coffee & Hot Tea, Scrambled Eggs with Cheddar Cheese, Hash Browns or Cowboy Potatoes, Pancakes or French Toast, Ham, Bacon or Sausage, Biscuits and Gravy, Sliced Seasonal Fruits, or Huckleberry Bran Muffins are just a few of the favorites we recommend.

Riley's Wood Floor Resurfaced February 28th, 2010

Thank you to all our Riley’s Pub and Sports Bar customers for your patience while we resurface the Riley’s wood floor!

We would like to say a very sepcial  Thank You to Tom Welch of  "Best Wood Floors" for doing a fantastic job re-surfacing  the Riley's Pub & Sports Bar's wood floor!!!

Deck the Halls

The word tradition comes from the Latin word traditionem which means "handing over, passing on". We have many yearly "traditions" at the Mountain Lake Lodge, my favorite being the Lodge's Christmas tree. Many Bigfork families and Lodge regulars come each year to have their keepsake photo taken in front of our tree, it is truly a wondrous sight.

Our Sous Chef, Jeff Collins (in the middle of Dana and Merrica in the picture to the right), decorates our tree beautifully every year. Our stately tree is 16 feet tall, with approximately 1300 ornaments on it, taking Jeff almost an entire day to decorate it. Guests are always struck by the beauty of the tree when they enter the Lodge, many exclaiming in delight how fantastic it is.

Along with decorating the Lodge for the Christmas Season, another tradtion of ours is the employee Christmas party which was held on December 17th. Employees look forward to this party each year as it gives them a chance to relax and spend time together without being on duty.

The party this year was especially fun with the delicious prime rib dinner prepared by our lovely restaurant manager Wendy, with all the trimmings, games were also played - our Mountain Lake Lodge word search was a hit, as usual - with fun prizes awarded to the winners, a dessert of decadent chocolate flourless cake finished off the dining, and of course, who would want to miss the infamous MLL employee gift exchange?!
