Thoughts of Summer

Dreaming about summer helps us to get through all the challenges of the cold, gray, dreary, wet, icy, snows of winter.

As January draws to a close my thoughts are turned towards summer….


Summer is warmth, fun, a time of renewal, adventure, romance, BBQ’s, sunburns, and vacations.  No two summers ever being exactly alike.
Each of us young, young at heart, or advanced in years would have a different response if asked
“what does summer mean to you?” Some would say……

Warm sand between my toes
Water-skiing
Hiking to the Ptarmigan Tunnel
Golfing Eagle Bend
A Rainbow of Flowers blooming in my garden
Family Reunions
Hours and hours of daylight
Going for a drive around the lake in my convertible with the top down
Lightning storms







Grilling'on the BBQ
Street Dances
Riding bikes on the Going to the Sun Road
4th of July Parades
Walking the dogs on the Wild Mile Trail
Ahhhh the beach!!!
Hiking to the summit through fields of wildflowers
Sleepovers











Summer Art Festivals
Ghost towns
Horseback riding to Cracker Lake
The magnificent sunset
Start a new hobby
Watermelon

Skipping rocks on the lake
