Punxsutawney Phil
did NOT see his shadow - predicting an early spring!
STEVENSVILLE, Mont. -- Punxsutawney Phil is the groundhog in Pennsylvania
who is boldly calling for an early spring.
He's never been to Big Sky Country, so what does he know about our weather?
We have our own prognosticating rodent in Montana.
His name is Bitterroot Bill.
He roams freely around the Lee Metcalf National Wildlife Refuge in Stevensville.
With all that sunshine on Wednesday, Bill easily saw his shadow.
That means this yellow-bellied marmot is calling for another six weeks of winter.
