Thoughts of Summer -Flathead Lake - The Far West

The crew of the Far West invites you to join them for a relaxing, educational and intriguing tour aboard their historic Montana cruise ship.....The Far West. http://www.flatheadlakeboattour.com./

"Gentle waves lapping against the boat hull...
Sun-glistening gems dancing upon the water...
Invigorating smells of fresh air and big mountains..."

Flathead Lake is framed on the east by the Mission mountains and to the west by the Salish mountain range.

The best way to really appreciate Flathead Lake's natural beauty is to see it from the water.   Far West's boat tours provides this opportunity by cruising Flathead Lake.  The Far West travels South along the west shore of Flathead Lake then turns North in a graceful arc taking you out into the depths of Flathead Lake.

You can board the Far West at Lakeside, Montana, 14 miles south of Kalispell on US Hwy 93 (about 25 minutes from Bigfork Mountain Lake Lodge)

The tour lasts about 1-1/2 hours.

Reservations are not required but a very good idea. The Far West suggests you arrive 15 to 30 minutes prior to departure.

The Far West's phone number is 406-844-2628 for more information on booking a cruise
or you can email them at  info@farwestboattours.com

  1. Christmas in July!!!

I remember a few years ago we had our employee Christmas party and dinner on the Far West boat it was a so much fun and a very memorable party for all. Flathead Lake that day was crystal clear and very smooth.

Thank you again to the crew of the Far West for creating a fantastic memory that I will never forget!

  2. Roger that, one of the best inexpensive and fun things you can do on the Flathead. We've done this tour a couple of times and never get tired of it. Thanks for sharing.
